A Hammam bath is one of those treatments people are curious about but rarely book, mostly because they're not sure what it involves. So here's the whole thing, start to finish.

The Hammam comes from the public bathhouse tradition of Turkey, Morocco and the wider Middle East: a place to wash, scrub and relax that's been around for centuries. Our version keeps the heart of it: heat, a deep cleanse, and time to slow down.

Step by step

1. Warm up

You start in the steam, giving the heat ten minutes or so to do its work. Your skin softens, your pores open, and your muscles start to let go. This is the part that makes everything afterwards more effective.

2. The foam wash

Next comes a soft cloud of soap foam, worked over the body. It's warm, light, and surprisingly relaxing, closer to a gentle massage than a scrub at this stage.

3. The exfoliation scrub

This is the signature part. Using an exfoliating mitt, the therapist scrubs away dead skin in long, firm strokes. You'll genuinely see the difference, and your skin feels smoother straight away.

4. Rinse and finish

A warm rinse washes everything away, and the session ends with a calm cool-down. You leave clean in a way an ordinary shower doesn't quite match.

What it does for you

It's part deep clean, part slow ritual. You give it ninety minutes and walk out feeling genuinely reset.

Who'll enjoy it

If you like the idea of steam plus a thorough scrub, or your skin feels dull and dry, this is for you. It's also a nice one to do occasionally as a treat rather than a regular weekly thing. Once a month is plenty for most people.
